Welcome to Delicious Diversion
September 15, 2016
We all have to eat so what's wrong with everything being delicious! Really, who wants to eat boring food? It's probably one of the reasons for overeating. Whenever we eat something we don't like then we usually eat something good to counteract the bad flavor. Right?
But a delicious diversion is not just about eating. Everyone loves great photos of food. We all want to know what people ate at a restaurant or talk about our favorite foods from childhood, recipes mom used to make and remember something amazlngly different you ate on vacation.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, parties, cocktail hour . . . we are all influenced by flavor. It's part of what guided me into a career in food. Watching hours of cooking shows and reading stacks of food magazines and cookbooks gave me a hunger for sharing flavor with family and friends. I had endless ideas long before I even stepped foot in the kitchen.
Fast forward to now and I can't believe the opportunities I've had to do all of that on a much grander scale than I ever imagined. With the cookbooks, food sections, television segments and cooking classes, it's been a whirlwind of planning, writing, cooking, sharing -- and most of all -- learning! I learn everyday & work out the problems with recipes so you don't waste time, money or flavor with a bad recipe or useless ingredients.
I am very excited to launch this website and blog. It's something I've wanted to do for awhile and, FINALLY, it's here! With Delicious Diversion I'll share new flavors, recipes and the latest videos from Everyday Gourmet on KYTX-CBS19. I also get the chance to review and sample a lot of new products, so the latest and greatest can be found here.
I'm always here to answer questions, find recipes and offer advice and ideas. It's about good food, real food, great flavor and, of course, creating a Delicious Diversion to everyday life.
